Fight Like Hell
02:56
|
|||
A glorious death awaits us all if we're brave enough to take it
So sharpen up your wits and knives and never grow complacent
Never stop, keep up the fight,
Fight like hell until you die
Let my blood flow as free in me as others can flow out,
Let the storming in our hearts flood the land in drought
Onward, Hel or Valhalla, charge into the fray,
No hope for living or fear of dying to ruin the final day
Never stop, keep up the fight,
Fight like hell until you die
Fight like hell, fight like hell, fight like hell, fight like hell
Let your spirit haunt long after your death
Though this spirit lives caged in, never let them forget
The only way they're still alive is that we permit it
Let every trecherous creeping bastard sleep in fear at night
Of the day the spirit of men wakens again to fight
Never stop, keep up the fight,
Fight like hell until you die
Fight like hell, fight like hell, fight like hell, fight like hell
Let your spirit haunt long after your death

I remember those Thanksgivings
Such simple times with family
So thankful for that home that we shared
Times have changed, some have died
Her white wash paint, it has dried
And left the cracks, each remnant stories of her time
Now 20 years has gone by
Still find myself driving by
That Detroit street that took her life
It took her life!
Through her broken eyes, 100 years her time,
She was loved and she was left to die, was left to die.
On her broken steps, the ones Dad always fixed
I was told the stories of the lives
The street went bad, the times they had
Broken, neglect, pushed out
This is how it ends
Once a staple of family pride
Then abandoned and left to die
On the Detroit street that took her life
Once a street of immigrants
and the city had a chance
Now nothing remains of what I loved
Only broken steps
The street went bad
On her broken steps, the ones Dad always fixed
I was told the stories of the lives
The street went bad

A Better Tomorrow
04:17
|
|||
When everything comes undone
And all your work was for naught
When it all turns to ash
You can't clutch madly at the wind
All you can have is a hope
For a better tomorrow

One of These Days
01:51
|
|||
The impetuous nature of youth gives way
To the urgency of passing days
The fire would have burned out long ago
Had the fuel stayed the same
Knowing, not knowing, knowing how little I seem to know
Right now is all I have to show
The sun hangs red on the horizon
Marking the end of another day
Everything we worked and strived for
Seems to slip so easily away
All the days that have gone past
Fade to traces of salt and ash
And tomorrow's one cold certainty
Is that one of them will be my last
I don't know what tomorrow will bring,
But I never rest assured of one thing
One of these days will be the end of me

No Sleep Til Death
02:02
|
|||
Inhale, the night begins
Sweat drenches us in what they call sin
What some men fear most lives within
No need for lies or questioning
No rest at all in sleepless nights, through sleepless nights
No rest at all in sleepless nights, no sleep till death
Gentle touch or hardest thrust
Raw desire feedbacks through us
Leave their wrong and right, rely on trust
Hearts beating blood in love or lust
No rest at all in sleepless nights, through sleepless nights
No rest at all in sleepless nights, no sleep till death

Death of Heathen Gods
03:05
|
|||
I stormed the gates of heaven
And found no one on the throne.
And so was exiled to wander in the wilderness alone.
And the caverns of Hell held no fear at all,
Their legions had long mingled freely with mankind.
The old symbols had all been stolen,
With new names fitting modern times.
What hope is left to roam these lands,
To search for any left alive,
When I know not their language,
Their rituals lost to time?
I stormed the gates of heaven
And found their god was gone,
Despite all those converted
By the sword and by the crown.
But the same was true of the ancient halls
Of the European tribes.
For those old gods too were exiled
To the wilderness to die.
What hope is left to roam these lands,
To search for any left alive,
When I know not their language,
Their rituals lost to time?
Old gods all condemned to death.
Old ways there is nothing left.
Just as that water still flows down in streams,
Just as that blood still flows in my veins,
Just as the water still flows down in streams.
Old gods all condemned to death
Always there is something left

Stray Dog Running
02:14
|
|||
I'm a bad luck stray and well past the day that I should have been run out of town,
Wouldn't take half a man to understand why you don't want me around.
Were we better off when we were together, or are we just as well off alone?
Now I'm out here running these streets, trying to find my way home.
So I'm a stray dog running, on the streets of this town again,
Looking for somewhere to sleep, someone to take me in.
How many times will we wrong each other before we finally make it right?
They say lone wolves can't be abandoned when they just lie together for the night.
And now its two wheels hellbound, three hundred miles from home.
The shadows and questions still come to haunt me and catch me all alone.
We'll still have our arguments when there's nothing left to say,
So now I'll ride like hell just to get away.
